Money Management: Where should I put my money?

Tuesday, June 16
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Stake Center Cultural Hall (STC 190)

This is the third of three workshops on money management. Our first two money management workshops helped students learn how to balance their income and their outgo for expenses, as well as plan for their financial future. This workshop introduces the ‘Three Buckets”, and will teach you alternatives for saving and investing the money you are saving for that future, and when to use each option.

The discussion will use a foundation of gospel and family-centered approaches to saving and planning for your financial future. You will learn how to balance high returns on your investment with liquidity and immediate needs, as well as understand the risks of each ‘bucket’. You will also get valuable information about how to manage your accounts after leaving BYU Hawaii and returning to your home countries.

This third workshop will be taught by Elder Ronald Blood, who worked as a financial advisor and investment portfolio manager for major financial companies, and currently serves as a full-time missionary in Academic Commons and teaches the Student Development 101 class.
